FALL BALL UNDERWAY!

Age Determination

Little League uses a player’s League Age (not school grade) to determine which divisions they are eligible to play in. For baseball, a player’s League Age for the 2026 season is based on their age on August 31, 2026.

How to determine your player’s League Age

You can determine your player’s League Age in either of the following ways:

Example: If your player was born on October 25, 2015, they will turn 10 years old by August 31, 2026. For the Spring 2026 season, their League Age is 10.

How League Age relates to divisions

League Age is one of the main factors used to place players into divisions (Tee Ball, Minor-B, Minor-A, Majors, Juniors, Seniors). Other factors, such as skill level and prior experience, may also be considered, especially for players moving up to a new division.

If you are unsure which division is appropriate for your player after checking their League Age, please contact the Player Agent at [email protected].

For information on how League Age ties into eligibility (which league you can register with), please see our Player Eligibility page.

If you have questions about Age Determination or division placement, please contact the Player Agent: [email protected].
