Pike Creek Little League — like all Little Leagues — is an organization run entirely by volunteers. It takes many
hands to run the concession stand, maintain facilities, support events, and ensure a great experience for all players.
As members of the league, families share in that responsibility.
Workbond requirement
Each family is required to provide a $200 workbond check, made out to “Pike Creek Little League,” to be
submitted before uniform pickup. The check will not be cashed as long as the family
completes the required volunteer shifts by the end of the All-Star season.
To satisfy the workbond, each family must complete three volunteer shifts:
- At least 2 shifts must be in the concession stand.
-
The third shift may be one of the following:
- An additional concession stand shift
- Participating in a field cleanup day
- Assisting with the Home Run Derby
- Operating the scoreboard or announcing for two games
-
Other volunteer opportunities may be substituted, but must be
approved in advance by the Workbond Coordinator (Jack Fallon).
All-Star families
If your child is selected for an All-Star team, your family must complete
two additional concession stand shifts during the tournament season.
Workbond check return
Once all volunteer requirements have been met, your check will be returned or destroyed at the end of the season.
If the volunteer requirement is not met, the check will be deposited.
If you have questions about available volunteer shifts or what qualifies toward the workbond, please contact
Jack Fallon or email [email protected].
